Growing up way to fast!

Ella snuggled up next to daddy!

We love when we see that sweet smile!

She loves her swing until her brother comes and gives it a extra push!

I had to take a picture of Nelson on this day because he was dressed in normal clothes and actually let me do his hair. He looks so handsome!

I can't believe that my litle Ella will be 3 months old in a couple of days. She is getting so big. She had her 2 month check-up a couple weeks ago and she is looking really good. She now weighs 11 lbs 7 oz and is 23.5 inches long. We love her so much and can't imagine our lives without her!

Ella's Blessing!

We blessed Ella on Easter Sunday. I know it sounds a little weird but, that is when we could have family come. Roger gave a wonderful belssing and Ella looked so PRECIOUS! She was able to wear the same dress that I did when I was blessed so that was really neat. Thank you everyone for coming and making Ella's day extra special!

Lots and Lots of Cousins

I LOVE this picture of all three kids. They look so cute! Ayla was such a nice girl to Ella!

Nelson loves his cousin Carson. Carson is so good with little kids.

Nelson's cousin Kiana was so good to play with him all day long. She did whatever he wanted her to do. She was giving Nelson a wagon ride and he told her it was her turn for a ride. It was so funny when we looked out the window and Nelson was pulling Kiana. I guess he is learning how to share and take turns!

Nelson helping his daddy wrestle!
April was such a fun busy month. We had a lot family visit and it was so fun to see everyone. Nelson absolutely LOVED having so many cousins come to play. We had fun going to the Kangaroo Zoo, Having a Birthday Party, Easter Egg Hunts, and Most of all just running around playing and having fun!

Tagged!

I was tagged by my sister to find the 6th picture in my 6th folder. Here it is. I can't believe how time goes by so fast. I can't really remember when Nelson was that small. I love the look on his face. Those were the days before tantrums. Maybe one day my sweet little boy will return!

2 weeks old!

Here are some pictures of Ella at 2 weeks. She is now 3 weeks old. Time is going by so fast. We love having our little girl in our home and Nelson REALLY loves having a sister(a little to much sometimes.) So far she is a really good baby. She only cries when she is hungry. She loves to eat and sleep. She hates me trying to take pictures of her so it is sometimes hard to get them. Nelson has been pretty good for the most part. There has been plenty of tantrums and him reverting back to a baby at times. He gets mad at mom when I have to feed Ella and loves to tell me "go away mom" ,but I know he still loves me. He has definitely turned into a daddy's boy and gets so sad every morning when he wakes up and daddy isn't home. We are also very thankful to have grandparents who live close by I don't know what I would do without them. Its been an adjustment having 2 kids ,but I think we are finally starting to get the hang of it. I wouldn't trade being a mom for anything else in the world! I love my 2 kids so much!

Walking out of the hospital!

Ever since I had little Ella I have been wondering if anyone else after having a baby has walked out of the hospital instead of being pushed out in a wheelchair? It was very weird to me when I called the nurse to tell her we were ready to leave I was expecting her to sit me in a wheelchair like I had done with Nelson and wheel me down to the car ,but no I just walked right down to the car. I did have a very fast and easy delivery ,but still I was a little surprised. So let me know if anyone has ever heard of this before. It just seems a little strange to me ,but maybe it isn't.

Discovery Gateway!

Roger and I decided to take Nelson to do something fun just for him before the baby comes. So we went to the Discovery Gateway (Children's Museum) Nelson and I had been to one before with the Mouritsens in California and had lots of fun so we wanted to try this one out. It was a little crowded and not quite as fun as the one in California ,but still fun. Nelson had fun trying out all the stuff. He loved playing with the water and was soaked from head to toe. He loves helicopters and they had a real one there for the kids to play in. Nelson wanted to get in it so we put him in with the other kids then all of a sudden it started to make noises like it was about ready to take off. Shear panic came over Nelson's face. He started to stress out and cry he thought he was going to go up in the sky and leave mommy and daddy behind. It was sad but, so cute! It was a fun family outing!

Let It Snow!

This was Nelson's first year to really go out in the snow. He wanted to help daddy shovel the sidewalk and driveway. He LOVES wearing his snow boots! For a while they were only pair of shoes he would wear. He liked walking trough the snow in his boots and also throwing the snow. Roger taught him how to throw snowballs. I love how cute he looks all bundled up. We just hope it doesn't snow to much anymore we are ready for Spring.

Happy Halloween!

Nelson loved Halloween this year. He loved all the pumpkins, decorations and most of all the CANDY! He surprised me and didn't fight me on wearing his costume but, he would only wear his hat outside for some reason. He loved answering the door and talking to all the trick or treaters and every time they would take a piece of candy he would take one for himself to. He loved knocking on doors and saying "Trick or Eat" He wanted to go inside every house and would always take at least 2 pieces of candy. He always said "Thank You" after they would close the door and we would be walking away. He was so much fun to watch. He is getting so big it makes holidays so much fun to see how excited your kids get over everything. We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!

Pumpkins here, Pumpkins there, Pumpkins everywhere!

I am a little late on this post on the Saturday before Halloween we took Nelson over to the Pumpkin Walk. I was a little sad because we got there later so he wasn't able to do all the fun things but,he still had a good time anyway. He loved looking at all the different pumpkins and loved walking through the hay maze all by himself. Then on Wednesday we carved Nelson's 1st pumpkin. He loved watching daddy clean it out and carve it. He did not like the feel of the inside of the pumpkin at all. He was so excited when we were finished and he saw it all lit up!

California Adventures!

Last week Nelson and I were able to go visit the Mouritsen family. It seems like we always make an annual trip to California in October when Roger goes on a hunt. I was so nervous of how Nelson would do on the airplane but, he LOVED it and was such a good little boy. Nelson loved being able to see he cousins. We had so much fun being able to celebrate Sadie's first birthday. We also got to go to a pumpkin patch which we do every year when we go back there. Nelson loved riding on the train and looking at all the pumpkins. Alan also volunteered to watch all the kids so Meghan and I could go shopping for a couple hours. They all survived which was good. It was fun shopping with my sister and hopefully one day she will live closer so we can do it more often. We had a great time and we can't wait to see them all again. Thanks Mouritsen family for letting us come and visit!

It's A......GIRL!

On Monday we went in for my 20 week ultra-sound. We were so excited to find out what we were having but more important make sure that the baby was healthy. The ultra-sound tech said that everything looked good and that she wasn't worried about anything but the Dr. still had to look everything over. It took forever for the tech to see if it was a girl or a boy. Our little girl would not uncross her legs. She kept moving the whole time covering up her face with her hands, yawning ,waving but would never uncross her legs. We tried everything to get her to uncross her legs then finally the tech said I got it. ITS A GIRL! Nelson has been saying the whole time it was a baby sister. We are so excited but I am still a little nervous that she might come out a boy after I buy all little girl stuff. We are just glad she is healthy and can't wait until February when we finally get to see her!
