Family Reunion!

On Saturday we had my Grandpa Hunsakers 80th birthday party-(family reunion.) I haven't seen a lot of my relatives on my moms side for a long time so it was good to see everyone and catch up. The party was in Idaho in a small town that had a hot springs swimming pool. We were all excited to go swimming because it was hot outside but, once we got in the swimming pool it was way to HOT. It made us all feel like we had heat stroke. It would feel nice in the Spring or Fall but, was a little warm for a June day. The kids had fun swimming and Roger loved going down the water slides. Also my mom made marshmellow guns for all the kids to have a marshmellow fight. Everyone loved the guns (mostly the grown men) it was fun to watch everyone shoot each other. Nelson's favorite part was swinging on the swings and helping feed his baby cousin Sadie Bea he thought he was so big! He also loved eating watermelon and thinking he was in the marshmellow war. We all had a fun time!

You Scream, I Scream ,We All Scream For Ice Cream!

The other night Roger got out his usually carton of ice cream to snack on. He just gets a spoon and eats it out of the carton. Soon after Nelson pulled me into the kitchen and wanted me to get him something. After a few guesses I figured out that he wanted a spoon. I gave him a spoon and he ran over to sit by his daddy to eat ice cream. It was pretty cute. He definitely takes after his daddy and his love of ice cream.

Happy Fathers Day Dad!

I want to wish my dad a Happy Fathers Day! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful dad. He is such a great example to me. He is always willing to help me out with anything I need. Nelson loves his grandpa Kenny so much. He loves to help him work in the yard. Thank you dad for everything you do. We love you!

Happy Fathers Day Roger!

I just wanted to tell my husband Happy Fathers Day! I am so grateful for the hard worker he is, in supporting our family. Nelson loves when his daddy comes home. He loves to wrestle around and play hide and seek with his daddy. He also loves when his daddy reads him books he does all the sounds and Nelson just laughs and laughs. Roger I hope you know what a wonderful person you are. We love you!

Push with your feet!

We got Nelson a little tikes firetruck for his birthday. It had finally stopped raining, so we went outside to let him try out his new firetruck. I was pushing him from behind and then would let go and say push with you feet. He would just stop and look at me like I was crazy. We did this about 10 times and he never caught on. By the end he was sick of it and was out of there. I am so glad we didn't get him a little bike with pedals he would have really been confused!

Nelson (Roger & Hayley) singing Blues Clues!

As most of you know Nelson's favorite show is Blues Clues. He loves to sing and do actions to the opening song. We thought we better get a video of it before he won't do it anymore. Don't mind Roger and I singing. We know we sound horrible.

Trying to say " I Love You!"

Nelson usually will do the actions for I Love You but, I guess he just wasn't in the mood.

More Pictures From Kansas Trip!

A Quick Trip To Kansas!

We went to Kansas over the weekend. Roger was on a baseball American Legion team the summer after he graduated from high school. They were runners up at Nationals. Anyway they had a little reunion baseball game against this years high school team. It was a lot of fun to see Roger back in his glory days of playing baseball. His team did really well for not playing together in 6 years. They defeated the high school team 13-3. Roger was the first one to get a hit on his team so he is feeling pretty good about that( and also that he was still able to fit into his old uniform) Nelson loved watching his daddy play and would cry every time he had to go onto the field. If you notice in one of the pictures Nelson had a little OCD trying to organize the dugout! Nelson also had another little birthday party. He of course loved having another birthday cake and getting MORE presents. It was a quick trip but, we all had lots of fun!

Look How Big I've Gotten!

Look Who's 2!

On June 1st Nelson turned 2. I can't believe how fast time has gone by. Roger and I can't imagine life without our little "Nelly Belly." He brings so much joy and laughter into our lives everyday. I still remember the day he was born like it was yesterday. I had been on bed rest for a month with high blood pressure and had been having terrible headaches for a couple of days. I called the doctor and they wanted me to come in first thing in the morning. My mom told me to pack my bag and have everything ready to go. I thought no way are they going to start me tomorrow I still had 3 1/2 weeks until my due date. We woke up the next morning and went to the doctor. Then they sent me over to the hospital to be monitored for a couple of hours. Still I was thinking no way am I going to have this baby. After being monitored for a couple of hours the doctor decided to induce me. Good thing I listened to my mom. It was a VERY LONG night and next morning. I never had been more irritated by the sound of a cell phone ringing or people going through grocery bags looking for food(when I hadn't eaten in 24hrs)so much. Finally by 1:00 in the afternoon we heard the sweet cries of our precious baby boy. It was a long, rough pregnancy but, I would do it all over again plus more to have our sweet little Nelson in our lives. I will never forget the day Nelson was born. We love him so much!
