Happy Halloween!
Nelson loved Halloween this year. He loved all the pumpkins, decorations and most of all the CANDY! He surprised me and didn't fight me on wearing his costume but, he would only wear his hat outside for some reason. He loved answering the door and talking to all the trick or treaters and every time they would take a piece of candy he would take one for himself to. He loved knocking on doors and saying "Trick or Eat" He wanted to go inside every house and would always take at least 2 pieces of candy. He always said "Thank You" after they would close the door and we would be walking away. He was so much fun to watch. He is getting so big it makes holidays so much fun to see how excited your kids get over everything. We hope everyone had a Happy Halloween!
Pumpkins here, Pumpkins there, Pumpkins everywhere!
I am a little late on this post on the Saturday before Halloween we took Nelson over to the Pumpkin Walk. I was a little sad because we got there later so he wasn't able to do all the fun things but,he still had a good time anyway. He loved looking at all the different pumpkins and loved walking through the hay maze all by himself. Then on Wednesday we carved Nelson's 1st pumpkin. He loved watching daddy clean it out and carve it. He did not like the feel of the inside of the pumpkin at all. He was so excited when we were finished and he saw it all lit up!

California Adventures!
Last week Nelson and I were able to go visit the Mouritsen family. It seems like we always make an annual trip to California in October when Roger goes on a hunt. I was so nervous of how Nelson would do on the airplane but, he LOVED it and was such a good little boy. Nelson loved being able to see he cousins. We had so much fun being able to celebrate Sadie's first birthday. We also got to go to a pumpkin patch which we do every year when we go back there. Nelson loved riding on the train and looking at all the pumpkins. Alan also volunteered to watch all the kids so Meghan and I could go shopping for a couple hours. They all survived which was good. It was fun shopping with my sister and hopefully one day she will live closer so we can do it more often. We had a great time and we can't wait to see them all again. Thanks Mouritsen family for letting us come and visit!

It's A......GIRL!
On Monday we went in for my 20 week ultra-sound. We were so excited to find out what we were having but more important make sure that the baby was healthy. The ultra-sound tech said that everything looked good and that she wasn't worried about anything but the Dr. still had to look everything over. It took forever for the tech to see if it was a girl or a boy. Our little girl would not uncross her legs. She kept moving the whole time covering up her face with her hands, yawning ,waving but would never uncross her legs. We tried everything to get her to uncross her legs then finally the tech said I got it. ITS A GIRL! Nelson has been saying the whole time it was a baby sister. We are so excited but I am still a little nervous that she might come out a boy after I buy all little girl stuff. We are just glad she is healthy and can't wait until February when we finally get to see her!

Nelson the Make-Up Artist!
Lately Nelson has been fascinated by me putting on my make-up(probably because its a very rare occasion when I do) Anyway the other day he took some of my eyeshadow without me knowing and was applying on his own make-up. Of course when I tried to take a picture he ran all over the house trying to get away from me. I don't know if he was trying to be like his mommy or make him self a beard like daddy!

Summer Time Fun With Cousins!
I know this post is a little late but oh well. Nelson LOVED having his cousins out this summer. He loved trying to keep up with his big cousins Noah,Gabe and Avery. He loved baby Sadie. He loved giving her kisses and hugs but most of all he loved sneaking her all the food she wasn't suppose to have. Him and Ayla loved doing whatever the other person was doing and LOVED throwing 2 year old tantrums together! We wish all of them could live closer because we love having them around. We miss them all and can't wait until we get to see them again.

The Zoo!
On Saturday we went to the zoo with my family. It was quite a zoo not only because of the animals but with all the people, it was pretty crowded. Nelson loved sharing a wagon with his baby cousin Sadie. He was such a good little boy he would ride in the wagon then Roger would lift him out to see the animals and then he would get right back in (it surprised me) His favorite animal were the Giraffes. He loved watching them eat their food. He also loved riding on the carousel and playing with the big water ball. It was a fun, hot day!

Nelson the BIG brother!
Most of you probably already know we are expecting baby number 2 the end of February! We are all very excited! I had my first doctors appointment on Monday and he said everything is looking good. We got to see a little ultra-sound of the baby, I couldn't believe how big it looked already. This baby was totally different from Nelson it was nice and calm and when we saw Nelson on his first ultra-sound he was crazy moving all over. I've been a lot more sick this time and (I'm definitely showing a lot sooner)so I am ready for the first trimester to be over with(only about one more week) We will keep you updated with any news about the baby. We just wanted to let everyone know our exciting news!

Nelson on the Slide!
Nelson loves going down slides. He loves to count before he goes down. He favorite number is 2, so he counts to 3 saying 2,2,2 go! Its so fun to watch how excited he is after each time he goes down.
More from the 4th of July!
Happy 4th of July!
Nelson with his cousins Noah and Sadie(Gabe wouldn't get in the picture) Nelson doing his favorite thing, Playing in the Water!
Nelson throwing snaps. He was a little crazy with them you never knew which way he was going to throw them.
We had a fun filled 4th of July. Our day started off with us going to my grandpa's to eat breakfast and to watch the parade. Nelson didn't really understand the whole picking up candy thing and putting it into his bag at first but, towards the end he kind-of got it. The parade was way to long and we all got bored with it by the end. After the parade we went to my parents house to let the kids swim and play.( We all think its a lot better then going up to the park and waiting in long lines with grumpy kids) It was as layed back as it could get considering my mom still had family out from the reunion so it was a packed house. The adults even got to play a little. My dad bought a new game called speed mitten or something like that. It is pretty fun to play. The kids all had a blast playing in the water and trying to get the adults wet with their squirt guns. Then that night we headed back over to my grandpa's and did our little fireworks and then watched the big city ones from his house. Nelson loved the fireworks and would clap and cheer after each one. We were all tired by the end of the day but, I think we all had a good time. Happy 4th Of July!

Family Reunion!
On Saturday we had my Grandpa Hunsakers 80th birthday party-(family reunion.) I haven't seen a lot of my relatives on my moms side for a long time so it was good to see everyone and catch up. The party was in Idaho in a small town that had a hot springs swimming pool. We were all excited to go swimming because it was hot outside but, once we got in the swimming pool it was way to HOT. It made us all feel like we had heat stroke. It would feel nice in the Spring or Fall but, was a little warm for a June day. The kids had fun swimming and Roger loved going down the water slides. Also my mom made marshmellow guns for all the kids to have a marshmellow fight. Everyone loved the guns (mostly the grown men) it was fun to watch everyone shoot each other. Nelson's favorite part was swinging on the swings and helping feed his baby cousin Sadie Bea he thought he was so big! He also loved eating watermelon and thinking he was in the marshmellow war. We all had a fun time!

You Scream, I Scream ,We All Scream For Ice Cream!
The other night Roger got out his usually carton of ice cream to snack on. He just gets a spoon and eats it out of the carton. Soon after Nelson pulled me into the kitchen and wanted me to get him something. After a few guesses I figured out that he wanted a spoon. I gave him a spoon and he ran over to sit by his daddy to eat ice cream. It was pretty cute. He definitely takes after his daddy and his love of ice cream.

Happy Fathers Day Dad!
I want to wish my dad a Happy Fathers Day! I am so lucky to have such a wonderful dad. He is such a great example to me. He is always willing to help me out with anything I need. Nelson loves his grandpa Kenny so much. He loves to help him work in the yard. Thank you dad for everything you do. We love you!
Happy Fathers Day Roger!
I just wanted to tell my husband Happy Fathers Day! I am so grateful for the hard worker he is, in supporting our family. Nelson loves when his daddy comes home. He loves to wrestle around and play hide and seek with his daddy. He also loves when his daddy reads him books he does all the sounds and Nelson just laughs and laughs. Roger I hope you know what a wonderful person you are. We love you!

Push with your feet!
We got Nelson a little tikes firetruck for his birthday. It had finally stopped raining, so we went outside to let him try out his new firetruck. I was pushing him from behind and then would let go and say push with you feet. He would just stop and look at me like I was crazy. We did this about 10 times and he never caught on. By the end he was sick of it and was out of there. I am so glad we didn't get him a little bike with pedals he would have really been confused!
Nelson (Roger & Hayley) singing Blues Clues!
As most of you know Nelson's favorite show is Blues Clues. He loves to sing and do actions to the opening song. We thought we better get a video of it before he won't do it anymore. Don't mind Roger and I singing. We know we sound horrible.
Trying to say " I Love You!"
Nelson usually will do the actions for I Love You but, I guess he just wasn't in the mood.
